Willie Earl Arrington, Jr.

Willie Earl Arrington, Jr. was born on October 24, 1962 to the late Willie Earl Arrington, Sr. and Annie Blakley Arrington.  He departed this life on Monday, April 27, 2020 at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi.

He confessed Christ at an early age and became a member of the Congregation Church of God in Shubuta, Mississippi.  He later joined the Congregation Church of God in Meridian, Mississippi and became the choir director and national program coordinator.  Later in life, he joined Faith Tabernacle Christian Center, where he served faithfully until his death.  He served in many capacities in the church, such as Deacon, choir director, praise leader, and a member of the program
committee.

Willie received his formal education at Quitman Public Schools.  Upon graduation he began working at Hanson Scale in Shubuta, Mississippi.

On June 26, 1993, Willie married the love of his life, Annette Martin.  To this union one child, Darius La’Shon Arrington, was born.

Willie was proceeded in death by his parents, grandparents, and a loving mother-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Martin.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Annette Arrington; one son, Darius La’Shon Arrington; three brothers, Donnie Ray Arrington of New Albany, MS, James Arrington of Hattiesburg, MS, and Johnnie (Kessler) Arrington of
Jonesboro, GA; six sisters, Clemestine (Roger) West of Hattiesburg, MS, Arleen (Prentis) Nobles of Vossburg, MS, Gloria (Lewis) Jefferson of Shubuta, MS, Minnie Arrington of Smyrna, GA, Sherry Arrington of Hattiesburg, MS, and Rena (Alvine) Bender of Bay Springs, MS; a special godson, Le’Julian Evans of Shubuta, MS; four special friends, Larry Thomas, Curtis Horne, Freddie Neal, and Carlos Roberts, all of Meridian, MS; eight sister-in-laws, twelve brother-in-laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” – II Timothy 4:7-8
