Willie James Lackey Services for Willie James Lackey will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Blackwater Baptist Church, with Reverend Heath Riggs officiating. Burial will be in Blackwater Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Lackey, 90, of DeKalb died Sunday, September 30, 2012, at Infinity Hospice. He was a member of Blackwater Baptist Church. Mr. Lackey worked for Hughes Telephone Company for many years and retired as a manager. He was a member of Local 917 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Survivors include his wife of thirty-five years Jacqueline Lackey of DeKalb; son Authur Lackey of Ruston, Louisiana; step-son Scott McCarty of the Blackwater Community; step-daughter Rhonda Doss and husband Oddis of the Blackwater Community; grandchildren Michelle Poer, Bobby Henderson, Stacy Henderson, Eli McCarty and Amanda Lackey; numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; sister Deloris Smith and brother Will Lackey, Jr. He was preceded in death by his brothers Harry Lackey and George Lackey. Pallbearers will be Oddis Doss, Scott McCarty, Eli McCarty, Bobby Henderson, Stacy Henderson, and Billy Holloway. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Lackey, Billy Cade and Charles Mosby.
