Willie W. Neal

A graveside service for Willie Neal will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 9:30 AM at Buckatunna Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Joey Shelton and Bro. Michael Yancey officiating, burial to follow. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. William "Willie" Neal, age 76, of Meridian passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024, at his home.

Willie was a hard-working man with a gentle heart who provided for his family while he operated his own appliance repair service, where he got to meet a lot of people and enjoyed serving others. Some of his favorite hobbies were hunting, fishing, watching football, visiting with friends, and family. He was a great father, brother, grandfather, and friend to all that knew him, he will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his daughters, Gega Potate, Tami Herrington (Mike Sodoma), and Ashley Marsh (Michael); grandchildren, Megan Snow (Gabe), Hunter Potate (Joi), Kevin Herrington (Ashton), and Lacy Ethridge (William Chad); great-grandchildren, Adalynn, Sawyer, Tatum, Elle, Eden, Harper, Layken, Landen, Leilah, Peyton, Ezekiel, Easton, and Rhett; siblings, J.D. Neal, Earlene Vaughn, Beverly Thrash, Cathy Spears, and Kenneth Ray Neal; special dogs, Hayden, Mally, and Adalee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Effie Neal; siblings, Raymond Neal, Jack Neal, A.D. Neal, Irene Abston, and Ola Faye Mosley; granddaughter, Kayla Potate.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Peggye Neal, Gega and Tami's mother, for the care of their daddy.
