Willie "Sonny" Boyd Parker

Funeral services for Mr. Willie Boyd Parker will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Willie B. "Sonny" Parker, age 78, of Meridian, MS passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at his home.

Sonny was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked at Sara Lee Bakery for 30 years, where he retired in 2012.

He loved hunting, fishing, racing cars, and especially watching his grandchildren play ball. He never met a stranger and could carry on a conversation for hours.

He loved his family first and foremost.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Liz Parker; sons, Dennis Parker (Becky) and William Parker (Heather); daughter, Joni Hollingsworth (James); grandchildren; Dennis Parker (Nancy), Kacy Parker, Caylee Parker, Shade Hollingsworth, and Karly Hollingsworth; brother, Earnest Parker (Kathy); sisters, Jackie Masters, Darlene Koegler (Steve) and Lola Moore (Mike), and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father Earnest Boyd Parker, his mother Estell Alexander; sisters, Jean Peters, Lily Wilson, Leola Jones, and Rachel Carskadon.

Pallbearers will be James Shelby, Joey Shelby, Jason Shelby, Gary Jones, Jamie Parker, and Zack Parker.
