William Ebbie Thompson Services for William Ebbie Thompson will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Earl Wheatley, Reverend Davey Wilkinson and Reverend Jimmy Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Thompson, 84, of Meridian died Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was retired from the United States Postal Service and was active in the Postal Credit Union, as well as, the National Association of Letter Carriers. Mr. Thompson was a member of North Park Church and a member of the Joy Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife of sixty four years, Margaret Huffmaster Thompson of Meridian; a daughter Marcia McElroy and husband Bobby of Meridian; a son Jimmy Thompson and wife Linda of Meridian; grandchildren Shawn Hannington and wife Liza, Michele Swanner and husband Patrick, Heather Parker and husband William and six great grandchildren; and three step grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Thompson, Jimmy Satterfield, Dan Peterson, William Parker, Patrick Swanner and Gene May. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Satterfield, Robert Thompson and George Cermack. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to North Park Church Building Fund. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at www.robertbarhamffh.com. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
