Willie Ray Wedgeworth Funeral service for Willie Ray Wedgeworth will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Will Dowling officiating. Burial will be in Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Wedgeworth, age 90, of Meridian passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at his residence. Mr. Wedgeworth was a retired owner of Wedgeworth Roofing Company and was a member of Andrew Chapel Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and was well known for growing his daylillies. He is survived by his wife of seventy years, Donie Jean Wedgeworth of Meridian, sons, Glynn R. Wedgeworth, Sr. and wife, Rita and Donald Wedgeworth and wife, Debbie all of Meridian; grandchildren, Glynn Wedgeworth, Jr. and wife, Karen and Randy Wedgeworth all of Meridian and Brandon Wedgeworth (Kimberly) of Alabaster, Alabama; great-grandchildren, Josh Wedgeworth (Amber), Bradley Wedgeworth and Houston Wedgeworth; great-great-grandchild, Calli Wedgeworth; brother, Dan Lewis Wedgeworth of Flomaton, Alabama and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howell J. and Annie Wedgeworth and eight brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank Dr. Harry Dayton for his many years of caring for Willie. The family requests memorials be made to Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Wade Limerick and Jim Duncan. Family and friends may sign the online guest book at robertbarhamffh.com. Visitation was held on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
