Willie M. Wheeler Services for Mr. Willie M. Wheeler will be held Monday, June 6, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Mike Russell and Reverend Clarence Qualls officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Neshoba County, with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Wheeler, 79, of Meridian died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Poplar Springs Nursing Center. He was retired from the Meridian Police Department after twenty years and was a former owner of Wheeler Texaco Station in Meridian. Mr. Wheeler was a Mason and a member of First Baptist Church of Lauderdale. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was always there for others and willing to lend a helping hand. Mr. Wheeler was a loving father, grandfather and friend. Survivors include his children Danny Wheeler and his wife Julie of Hanceville, Alabama and his daughter Donna Mangum of Meridian; grandchildren Dr. Justin Qualls and his wife Emily of Clinton, Reverend Greg Mangum of Quitman, Courtney Mangum of Meridian, and David Wheeler of Hanceville, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Esta Wheeler and his son Curtis Wheeler. Pallbearers will be Clifton Partridge, George Eagle, Bobby Symonds, Tony McMann, and Bill Brunelle.
