Memorial services for Wilma McCann will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. New Hope Baptist Church, with Brother Paul Trosper officiating. Burial will be at Stonewall Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Ms. McCann passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Arlington, Texas.

June was born November 28, 1933 in Meridian, Mississippi to T. M. and Flora Jones. In 1953, she met and married Willis Ren Dority, Jr. She and "Sonny" had two daughters, Karen and Beverly. After Sonny's untimely death in 1958, June continued to live in Mississippi and care for her daughters and mother as well as her grandmother. In 1967 she relocated to Arlington, Texas where she raised her two girls and created a home that was the center of many family gatherings.

June was the ultimate caregiver, caring for her grandchildren and numerous others who affectionately refer to her as "Mommy June".

She is survived by daughters, Karen (Larry) McFarland and Beverly (Kyle) Dunn.  Grandchildren, Taylor (Katie) McFarland, Drew (Jennetta) McFarland

Jared (Laura) Dunn and Matt McFarland.

June was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Gloria Shumate.
