Woodie R. Jackson, Jr. Funeral services for Woodie Jackson will be held Friday, August 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, with Reverend Virgil Walters officiating. Burial will be at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Jackson, age 66, of Meridian, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Jackson worked at Norfolk Southern for 23 years. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed carpentry work, and loved animals. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Diane Jackson; sisters, Pat (Wayne) Wright and Jan Jones; nieces, Melissa Mayatt (Andy) and Ashley Shirley; nephews, Bryan Ingram (Cara), Paxton Jones (Beth) , Steve Smith (Tangy) , and Mark Smith (Leah); great-nieces, Payton Ingram, Abby Shirley, Kate Smith, Emerson, Elizabeth and Olivia Jones; great-nephews, Tucker Mayatt, Nathan Louis Smith, and Kadyn Townsend and Tucker Townsend, and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Louis and Mamie Lee Smith.
