Woodrow Thomas Covington, Jr. Services for Woodrow Thomas Covington, Jr. will be held Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 2:00 at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Aubrey Martin officiating. Burial will be in Bailey Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Mr. Covington, 75 of Daleville died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was retired as owner of Covington Fish Farm, Daleville, MS. He was a longtime member of Bailey Presbyterian Church and was currently attending Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church. Mr. Covington graduated high school on April 15, 1952 from Center Hill High School. He also graduated from East MS Jr. College on May 21, 1954, MS College on May 29, 1960, and US Army, PFC USAR on April 30, 1963. While attending MS College he was an All American in basketball. He held the National Scoring Record and was inducted into the Hall of Fame at EMCC. Survivors include his children, Brandy Daily and her husband, Chris of Bailey, Drew Covington and his wife Michelle of Daleville, Tom Covington of Daleville; grandchildren, Chase Daily, Cade Daily and Taylor Agnew; brother Jerry Covington and his wife Patricia of Daleville, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Thomas Covington, Sr and Annie Jane Talbert Covington. Pallbearers will be Eddie Mason, Ken Covington, Ricky Goforth, Mickey Clark, Jody Clark and Glenn Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Hill, Ricky Black, Milford Unruh, Glenn Dyess, Jack Davis, Charles Woodall and Ralph Morgan. Family and friends may sign online guestbook at robertbarhamffh.com.
