Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Whitehead will be held Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home at 1:00pm, with Brother David Watson officiating. Burial will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Whitehead, age 77, of Meridian, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018, at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Whitehead retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Rural Letter Carrier. She was a member of Prospect Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her children, Julie (Ricky) Tabb, Barry (Lee Ann) Rhaly, Rhonda Fortune; grandchildren, Ryan Tabb, Sarah Tabb, Katie Rhaly, Ashley Rhaly, Andrew Rhaly, and Jaxon Fortune; great-grandchild, Parker Tabb; sisters, Martha Enos and Patricia (Bob) Birke; sister-in-law, Hallaine May; numerous nieces and nephews, and her special friend, Edward Stephens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Whitehead; parents, Lester E. and Sadie Payne May; brother, Lester H. May; sister, Sarah Ann May; and her brother-in-law, George Enos.

The family requests memorials be made to the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi.
