Leroy Moore, 82, of Louisville, MS died Friday, May 19, 2017, leaving this world for a better one.

Mr. Moore was a drywall contractor in Meridian, MS for forty years. A believer in the American dream and hard work, Mr. Moore gave many young men down on their luck an opportunity to learn a trade and provide for themselves and their families through his sheetrock business. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea. He was a life-long Methodist and modeled good works by providing for the elderly and needy throughout his life. He was an avid outdoorsman, fishing and hunting when he wasn’t working, and loved visiting the Rocky Mountains and the American West. He enjoyed gardening and spending time on his farm in the Rocky Hill Community in Winston County. He fell in love with reading late in his life, devouring books of all kinds. He was most proud of his completing a read of the Holy Bible.  Among the many skills that he handed down to his grandkids was the ability to play pool and dominoes.

He is preceded in death by his son, Jeff Moore.

He is survived by his three daughters, Connie Moore, Gigi Sinyard (Jay), and Angel Sparkman (Al); his legacy will continue through his five grandchildren, Grady Sinyard, Hailey Sinyard, Jordan Sparkman, Erin Sparkman, and Jack Sparkman.

Pall bearers will be Mr. Moore’s three grandsons, Grady, Jordan, and Jack along with Bill Allen, Jessie Graham, David Hodge, Paul Warren, and Carl Watts.
