Funeral services for Mike Partridge will be held Sunday, September 18, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with Reverends Danny Lanier, Doug Goodman, and Steven Holifield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Partridge, 51, of Meridian, passed away September 15 at Anderson’s Hospital.
Mike was a very loving husband, father, brother, uncle, coach, and friend. He cherished the times he spent with his family, especially his “Daddy Days” with his two kids. He always made special time to spend with the love of his life, Cynthia. He always looked forward to cookouts with family and Christmas at Clarkco. Next to his family, coaching baseball was his passion. He loved each and every player as if they were his own and not only taught them to love the game, but he taught them life lessons. Mike was excited when his daughter chose to play softball. He valued the time that he got to spend with his friends, laughing and “shooting the bull”. Above all else, though, Mike loved God and put all of his trust in Him, knowing better days were ahead. We love you and miss you, Coach Mike.
Mike is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Cynthia Partridge; children, Morgan Partridge and Matthew Partridge; brother, Kenny (Kathy) Partridge; several special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Louise Partridge and brother, Jerry Partridge.
Pallbearers will be Kameron Partridge, Dewayne Partridge, Steward McMahan, Kaleb Price, Derek Zimmermann, Johnny McMahan, Darren Graham, and Ronnie Bagwell. Honorary pallbearers will be the former baseball players that he coached.
