Services for Mamie Virginia Ervin will be held Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Druid Hills United Methodist Church with Reverend Don Fortenberry and Reverend David Keller officiating. Burial will be at Meridian Memorial Park with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Ervin, age 93, of Meridian, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a charter member of Druid Hills United Methodist Church where she was actively involved in United Methodist Women. Her passion in life was serving God through ministries at the church. She was also a volunteer at Rush Hospital for around 28 years. Survivors include her daughters, Vonica Tamney and husband, Clarke of Land O'Lakes, FL, and Gail Belvin and husband, Terry of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Brittney Belvin of Orlando, FL, Michael Tamney and wife, Reema of Lakeland, FL, and Lauri Tamney of New York, NY; nieces, Helen Jackson, Patti Brown, Penni Price, Peggy Ushur, and Carol Baker; and nephews, Sonny Davis, Ricky Price, Randy Price, Ronnie Price, Bobby Russell, and Charles Russell. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Ervin; mother, Annie Kate Brown Price; father, Leondus Clifton Price; sisters, Erlene Davis, Celeste Craven, Lutie Price, Violet Moody, Kate Ivy, Donna Fay Russell, and Eva Mae Price; and brothers, L.C. Price, Thomas Lafett Price, and Robert Price.
