Marie Carol Taylor Services for Marie Carol Taylor will be held Thursday, February 13, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, with Reverend Danny Davis and Dr. Rhett Payne officiating. Burial will be in Stinson Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Taylor, 71, of Meridian died Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where she served as the Minister of Music. She also worked as Office Manager at First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Taylor was a secretary for twenty-nine years at Clarkdale Attendance Center. Survivors include her husband of fifty-three years, Larry Taylor of Meridian; son, Jeff Taylor and wife Tina of Meridian; daughter, Melissa Lowe and husband David of Meridian and the light of her life her granddaughter, Jordan Taylor Lowe; sisters, Annett Royce of Mobile, Alabama, Brenda Grayson of Meridian and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas Averett and Margie Averett and brother, Richard Douglas Averett. Pallbearers will be Darrow Lott, Cliff Gavin, Bud Thomas and Sammy Pogue.
