Funeral services for Nandi Nkosinzana Franklin will be held Monday, December 13, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Young officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church on Battlefield Road in Collinsville. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Nandi Nkosinzana Franklin was born on April 11, 1991 to Tina Leggette and Fredrick Franklin. She departed this life on December 4, 2021 in Forsythe, Georgia.

Nandi grew up in Meridian and Collinsville, Mississippi. As a young child, she participated in numerous beauty pageants. At West Lauderdale schools, she was active in basketball, track and field, fast pitch, and slow pitch. She graduated from West Lauderdale High School in 2009. Nandi received a certificate in surgical tech at Meridian Community College in 2014. She received an associate's degree in Nursing from Meridian Community College in 2018. She was pursuing a bachelor's degree at the time of her passing. She worked for Laurel Surgery Center and as a travel nurse with Jackson Professionals.

Nandi accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior at an early age. She served as a faithful member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church (Battlefield) Choir.

Nandi was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Thomas Franklin, Sr.; maternal great-grandparents, William and Sally Leggette; and paternal great-grandparents, Myra and Ruby Franklin.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Tina Leggette; her father, Fredrick Franklin; her paternal grandmother, Ollie Franklin; her maternal grandmother, Ira Nichols; her fiancé, Rico Kersh; her brother, Fredrick Franklin; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Pall bearers will be Joshua Moore, Dan Barrett, Kary Kersh, Arbaneze Johnson, Justin Ford, and Greg Moore.

The visitation will be held Monday, December 13, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.
