Our Story

Our Story

The Barham Family began a legacy of funeral service in Meridian and East Central Mississippi in 1985 when O.C. and Ruth Barham opened the funeral home formerly known as O.C. Barham Funeral Home.  Their son, Robert “Bob” Barham, faithfully served alongside his family for more than 20 years—even after the sale of the business in 1997—remaining committed to guiding families with dignity and kindness until February 2008.

Following much prayer and careful thought, Bob and his wife, Sharon, felt called to continue this ministry of care by founding Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in the spring of 2008. While their new facility was being built, they began serving families from a temporary location until moving into the modern, welcoming home where we serve today. Designed with both comfort and beauty in mind, our building offers a warm, home-like atmosphere, and we continually update our facilities to provide the very best for the families who place their trust in us.

Today, Bob, Sharon, Bill, Bruce, and the entire RBFFH staff remain devoted to the legacy first established by O.C. and Ruth in 1985—a legacy of faith, service, and compassion. For more than 40 years, caring for families in their time of need has been more than just our profession; it has been our way of life.
